FUNCTIONALITY

Siren, Strobe light, Push notification to App, SMS and Voice calls to any two predefined numbers

Our IoT device was developed to place your security in your own hands. The Impimpi communicates directly with your smartphone via the Impimpi app informing you about incidents you want to know about. Get notified by SMS, push notifications or voice calls.

The Name:
Impimpi is the Zulu word for an informer. An informer can be defined as a person who tells authorities about improper or illegal activity.

The Bird:
The Grey Lourie has a strange behaviour which gives it the nickname of the ‘Go away bird’. This bird is a very vocal bird when alarmed, who emits a long nasal sounding call which sounds like ‘gowaaaay’ while jerking its tail. Because of this ‘give away call’, they are helpful to prey animals who are alerted when a predator or hunters enter their territory.
